Mosaic Birmingham is a pastor-led church, governed and directed by the board. As such, we seek to be a community of many voices. We are changed and strengthened as each person discovers their voice in Christ and adds it to the chorus of the faithful. The Scriptures compare the church to a living body whose composition is derived from the uniqueness of each and every part. It is only when the unique finds its place within the whole that the church becomes what God has intended. These are just a few of the many voices at Mosaic Birmingham who are helping us discover how all the pieces can fit together.

"The pastoral staff of Mosaic exist for a single purpose: to enable the community to continually rise to become a people who are living as witnesses of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We see our role primarily as one of equipping: from leading the community in the formation of our lives collectively, and individually, to be more like that of Jesus, to organizing a ministry of prayer, to gathering the family together for corporate worship, repentance, and coming to the table, to sending out the body to be 'Christ in 10,000 Places' for a wanting and watching world. We’re not the providers of programs, or wisdom gurus. We are friends coming alongside other friends in following the way of Jesus." - Johnathon & Kyle
The Board
Board members serve two year terms, and are led by a lay member who serves as Head of the Board.
Members of the Lead Pastoral team are permanent members to the board but will be out numbered by lay members - the exception to that rule is in times of transition.

Team Leads
Led by the lead pastoral team, and governed and directed by the board, the implementation of the vision and mission of Mosaic is managed by Team Leads. Serving as volunteers over the various ministry areas and teams, they make the activities of our communal life possible. Team Leads function in part as the biblical role of deacon, and as volunteers in lieu of paid staff.
