Easter Celebrations

Excitement for Easter...

Spring has sprung, reminding us of the much anticipated new life that we've waited for through winter. This change of season reflects the meaning and promise of Easter. As we observe the blossoms on the trees and new leaves sprouting, we encourage you to also take a moment to consider how nature's return to life mimics Christ's resurrection. If we see new life in the green of our surroundings, how much more do we experience rebirth and new life through Jesus' death and resurrection?

We want to invite everyone in our community — whether they are already part of Mosaic or not — to celebrate Easter with us. Please invite friends and family and join us. Sunday will be a time of celebration! We'll have baby dedications and after the service we'll continue to fellowship over lunch (you can either bring a picnic lunch or pick up food at a nearby restaurant).

Plans for Good Friday & Easter:

  • Good Friday service at 6 p.m. on Friday. We'll gather again at Studio 410 in the Phoenix Lofts, to take the time to reflect on Christ's crucifixion together. This will be a contemplative service that should last about 45 minutes.
  • Easter Sunday at 10:15 a.m. at Avondale Brewery. For the second year in a row, we'll celebrate Easter together at the open space behind Avondale Brewery. We know that rain is predicted, and have plans to gather in the brewery's upstairs area if the weather keeps us from being outside. Send an email to theupdate@mosaicbirmingham.com if you have any questions.
